Residency Admission Information
Referral Requirements
Applicants must provide a referral from one of the following:
- A representative from a treatment centre verifying successful completion of a drug treatment program within the past year (preferred).
- A medical or wellness professional (e.g., doctor, counsellor) or a member of a recovery organization (e.g., AA or NA sponsor) who can confirm sustained sobriety.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must provide a referral from one of the following:
- Be homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Be abstinent from substance use and committed to maintaining sobriety.
- Have completed a minimum 28-day in-patient treatment program. Equivalent out-patient treatment may be considered; please inquire before applying.
- Note: Individuals currently on Methadone are not eligible. Suboxone may be permitted under certain conditions; contact staff prior to applying.
- Be willing and able to work, attend school, or participate in a recognized treatment program.
- Be capable of independent living, including performing general life skills. Our residences are not staffed and cannot accommodate individuals with special needs or severe mental health challenges.
- If recently incarcerated, apply through a recommendation from a substance use disorder treatment program (e.g., DSATU).
- Note: Individuals with sexually related convictions within the last 15 years are ineligible.
